The square flange turns the dry-running LIN element into a bolt-on unit for flat carriage plates. The square flange turns a dry-running polymer bushing into a direct bolt-on carriage component, useful when a separate round housing would add parts and alignment steps.
For a flanged unit, the material limits remain the same as the cylindrical LIN family: 0.05–0.15 dry friction on steel and 0.4 N/mm²·m/s maximum PV. Temperature guidance in the outline is -50 to +90 °C for continuous work and -50 to +120 °C for short exposure.

Where It Fits
Square-flange polymer bearings work well on flat carriage plates, compact pick-and-place frames and food-related equipment where bolt-on service access is valuable.
For LIN-01RT, corrosion resistance and lubricant-free travel can simplify machine housekeeping. The catalogue also notes that the LIN material can be cleaned with disinfecting solution, which is useful context for equipment where oil migration would be undesirable.
How to Select
Check the square flange width, bolt spacing and plate thickness before looking at load data. A correct bore with a mismatched bolt pattern is not a usable replacement.
After the geometry is identified, compare the real duty with the dry-running material limits. Record load, sliding speed, stroke, shaft finish and operating temperature in the RFQ so LIN-01RT is checked as a system rather than as a bore-size lookup.
Fitting & Inspection
Seat the square flange on a flat plate and tighten bolts crosswise. The polymer bearing should slide freely after the plate is torqued; if not, check plate flatness and shaft parallelism.
This family does not depend on scheduled grease replenishment. Inspection should instead look for abnormal clearance, embedded abrasive particles, heat and uneven wear; those symptoms often point to shaft or alignment issues around the LIN-01RT installation.
