NOS takes the NHS maintenance-free construction and adds an external threaded shank. The result is a small, direct-mount rod end for applications where a tapped linkage can accept the bearing without a separate stud. The supplied range covers 3–25 mm bores and corresponding metric threads.

Check the thread engagement available in the mating part as well as the bearing rating. A high-capacity eye does not compensate for too little thread engagement or a thin receiving boss.
Keep installation torque on the shank and locknut, not on the bearing eye. This is a maintenance-free PTFE-lined joint, so the service plan should focus on cleanliness, play and freedom of movement rather than greasing.
