SI ES is built around a radial spherical plain bearing insert rather than a simple pressed liner. The female-thread housing accepts GE..E(S) or GE..ES 2RS type bearing construction and includes a lubrication route. That gives designers a serviceable rod end in sizes from 6 to 80 mm bore.

The insert style and sealing arrangement should be chosen with the environment in mind. Start with bore and thread, then verify the eye width, center distance and load rating.
Provide a grease path that remains accessible after the cylinder or linkage is installed. When a sealed 2RS insert is selected, keep the seal lips clean during assembly.
SA ES uses a male thread; GE E / GE ES 2RS is the corresponding spherical plain bearing family without the rod-end housing; GIR C / GIR ET 2RS is the maintenance-free female-thread alternative.
