KR / KRV Cam Follower Needle Roller Bearings

KR / KRV stud-type cam followers use a compact needle-roller arrangement for cam tracks, guideways and follower mechanisms. The documented range covers 13–90 mm outer diameters, with eccentric versions available for alignment adjustment.

MOQ: 50 pcs. Minimum order value USD 1,500; mixed orders and trial quantities welcome.

KR / KRV cam followers are compact stud-type needle roller bearings designed for mechanisms where a rolling element runs directly against a cam, track or guide surface. The catalogue family spans small 13 mm outside-diameter followers through 90 mm units, so the same basic arrangement can be used from light indexing hardware to more substantial machine guidance duties.

The buyer decision is not only diameter. Stud thread, outer-ring profile, required eccentric adjustment, dynamic load and permissible speed all change with size. KRV variants are used when an eccentric arrangement is needed; the catalogue notes an eccentricity range of 0.25–0.5 mm. Cylindrical or spherical outer surfaces are selected according to the mating track and alignment requirement.

Typical Applications

These followers are suited to cam plates, indexing machines, packaging equipment, transfer systems and guide tracks where a conventional bearing would require a separate shaft and housing. The integrated stud simplifies the mounting stack and can reduce the number of machined support parts.

For track service, the contact condition between the follower outer ring and the mating rail matters as much as nominal bearing load. Edge loading, track hardness and local misalignment can shorten service life even when the tabulated radial rating looks adequate.

Selection Guide

Start with the required follower outside diameter and available stud envelope, then check the catalogue row for C, Co, limiting speed and mass. Where alignment needs trimming after assembly, compare the eccentric KR/KRV option with a fixed-stud version rather than compensating with an oversized mounting hole.

Choose the outer-ring profile to suit the track. A cylindrical running surface is appropriate when the mating geometry controls alignment; a crowned or spherical profile is helpful when the application must tolerate limited angular error. Confirm the actual catalogue suffix before ordering because the profile is design dependent.

Installation & Maintenance

Keep the track clean, hard and free of sharp shoulders. Mount through the stud without transmitting installation force through the rolling elements. After tightening, rotate the follower through the full travel to confirm that the track does not force the bearing sideways.

Lubrication and inspection intervals should reflect speed, contamination and duty cycle. In intermittent cam service, check the running surface for brinelling or edge wear as well as checking for bearing play.

FAQ

What is the difference between KR and KRV?
Both are stud-type cam follower families. The supplied outline identifies KRV with an eccentric arrangement; confirm the exact suffix and dimensional row for the required size.
What size range is documented?
The catalogue family covers outside diameters from 13 mm to 90 mm, with studs from about M5×0.8 through M30×1.5.
Can the outer ring be spherical?
The catalogue notes that the outside running surface may be cylindrical or spherical depending on design. Specify the required track geometry in the RFQ.
What should I send for quotation?
Provide the existing part number or target outside diameter, stud thread, track profile, load, speed, quantity and any dimensional drawing.

Request a Quote

For a cam follower RFQ, the fastest route is to send the required outside diameter, stud thread and track arrangement together with the duty load and speed.

Send the model or shaft size, quantity, application, expected load and available drawing to sales@netherlandsdrive.com. Ever Power Netherlands Branch will use those inputs to confirm the appropriate catalogue configuration before quotation.
