GF DO is intended to become part of a fabricated structure. The flat weldable base carries a radial spherical plain bearing and provides a direct pivot point without a separate threaded shank. The series is notably broad, with catalogue bores from 20 to 120 mm.

Treat the housing as a weldment first and a bearing second. Check center height, base width and access for the mating pin, then review load ratings. Welding sequence, plate thickness and fixture design can influence alignment.
Remove the bearing from direct exposure to welding heat and spatter wherever the assembly method permits, or use a controlled procedure that protects it.
