GAR C / GAR ET 2RS places the maintenance-free spherical bearing arrangement on a male threaded shank. It is useful when the rod end must screw directly into a substantial coupling or actuator component and routine lubrication access would be awkward. The published bore range is 6–80 mm.

No periodic relubrication is intended for this family. Keep the joint free from welding spatter, paint and abrasive dirt, and do not use a seized rod end to force a linkage into position.
GIR C / GIR ET 2RS gives female threads; SA ES is the serviceable male-thread alternative; GE ET 2RS fits directly into a housing when a rod-end shank is unnecessary.
