Stainless steel gearboxes are widely used in industrial transmission fields due to their high strength and corrosion resistance. However, in actual use, stainless steel gearboxes may still malfunction due to improper design, installation, lubrication or maintenance....

LMEF / LMEK European Flanged Linear Bearings
LMEF and LMEK combine the European LME bearing envelope with direct flange mounting. Round LMEF and square LMEK configurations are documented for 8–60 mm shaft sizes.
MOQ flexible. Minimum order value USD 1,500; mixed orders and trial quantities welcome.
LMEF and LMEK bearings bring flange mounting to the European metric LME dimensional family. They are useful when a machine must retain an existing European bearing envelope but the designer wants a bolt-on carriage interface instead of a separate cylindrical housing.
The supplied outline identifies LMEF as the round-flange version and LMEK as the square-flange version, with bores from 8 to 60 mm. The technical table follows the same field structure as LMF/LMK but uses European outside dimensions, so a same-bore LMF should not be substituted without checking the drawing.
Key Features
Technical Specifications
| Series | Flange Shape | Bore Range | Dimensional Standard | Key Checks | Typical Decision |
|---|---|---|---|---|---|
| LMEF...UU | Round | 8–60 mm | European metric | D, L, PCD, hole size, C/Co | Symmetric flange layout |
| LMEK...UU | Square | 8–60 mm | European metric | D, L, square envelope, hole pitch, C/Co | Rectangular carriage plate |
Catalogue note: Use the European LMEF/LMEK table for the exact outside diameter and bolt pattern. A same-bore LMF/LMK can use a different body size.
Typical Applications
These bearings fit European-format automation modules, packaging machines, assembly stations and replacement projects where existing carriage plates already follow LMEF/LMEK geometry.
They are especially convenient when the axis needs occasional service access: the flange can be unbolted from the carriage face without removing a separate retaining ring or bearing sleeve.
Selection Guide
Identify whether the current mounting plate expects a round or square flange, then measure the hole pattern. Match the shaft bore only after the flange geometry is confirmed. This prevents the common retrofit error of ordering an Asian-format flange bearing that fits the shaft but not the plate.
For higher loads or longer carriage support, compare the extended LMEFC/LMEKC family rather than simply stacking two standard flanged bearings.
Installation & Maintenance
Install against a flat shoulder and tighten the flange bolts in a balanced sequence. Verify free travel after final torque.
Keep the linear shaft clean and correctly lubricated for the chosen bearing. A replacement bearing should not be used to compensate for a scored shaft or misaligned support structure.
