Stainless steel gearboxes are widely used in industrial transmission fields due to their high strength and corrosion resistance. However, in actual use, stainless steel gearboxes may still malfunction due to improper design, installation, lubrication or maintenance....
LM...UU is the standard metric, closed/sealed family member of the catalogue linear-bearing range. Its four-ball-circuit layout is intended for h6 precision shafts; the outline also notes bearing-steel construction and an optional nickel-plated A suffix. The practical buying question is whether its envelope and mounting style match the shaft, housing and carriage already designed into the machine.
The supplied catalogue places this series on pages 39–40. The documented selection range is d = 3–100 mm. Rather than treating the series code as interchangeable with a similar-looking bushing, confirm the exact diameter family and the mounting geometry before an RFQ is released.

Catalogue note: The source provides model-by-model tables. This import row intentionally keeps the published family limits and field structure; final dimensions, C/Co ratings and mass must be taken from the selected catalogue model rather than inferred from a neighbouring size.
Applications
LM bushings fit compact automation, fixtures and machine modules where a conventional closed round shaft can pass through the bearing body.
The OP and AJ variants change how the bearing interacts with a supported shaft or an adjustable housing, so the suffix belongs in the selection discussion rather than being added after installation.
Selection Guide
Begin with the shaft diameter and whether the shaft is fully free or continuously supported. A supported rail normally drives the design toward an open version instead of a closed LM body.
After the geometry is fixed, compare the exact C and Co values, radial clearance and runout for the chosen size. A larger bore alone does not correct shaft deflection or a flexible carriage.
Installation & Maintenance
Deburr the shaft lead-in and press on the outer shell instead of transmitting force through the ball tracks.
During service, keep the shaft clean and lubricated as required by the duty; rough travel should trigger a check of shaft scoring and alignment as well as the bearing itself.
