Stainless steel gearboxes are widely used in industrial transmission fields due to their high strength and corrosion resistance. However, in actual use, stainless steel gearboxes may still malfunction due to improper design, installation, lubrication or maintenance....

SBR / TBR Supported Rail Linear Bearing Units
SBR and TBR are open linear-bearing units designed to run on continuously supported round rails. The documented SBR range covers 10–50 mm shafts; TBR covers 16–30 mm, with long SBR variants available.
MOQ flexible. Minimum order value USD 1,500; mixed orders and trial quantities welcome.
Supported round rails solve the shaft-deflection problem that appears when a long free-standing shaft carries a carriage through the middle of its span. SBR and TBR units use an open bearing/housing so the carriage can pass over the support web while the shaft remains supported along its length.
The outline documents SBR...UU standard blocks, SBR...LUU long blocks and TBR...UU units. SBR covers roughly 10–50 mm shafts and TBR 16–30 mm. Matching SBR...C rail assemblies are also listed as companion products.
Key Features
Technical Specifications
| Series | Shaft Range | Block Type | Companion Rail | Key Catalogue Fields | Typical Reason to Choose |
|---|---|---|---|---|---|
| SBR...UU | 10–50 mm | Open standard block | SBR...C supported rail | h, E, W, L, F, T, h1, angle, B/C, C/Co, weight | General supported-shaft axis |
| SBR...LUU | 10–50 mm family | Open long block | SBR...C supported rail | Extended L plus mounting dimensions | More carriage support |
| TBR...UU | 16–30 mm | Open rail block | TBR rail system | Block/rail dimensions, C/Co, mass | Larger supported-rail architecture |
Catalogue note: The exact rail length and mounting-hole pattern depend on the companion rail. Specify the rail as a system rather than ordering the block from bore size alone.
Typical Applications
SBR/TBR systems are widely used in routers, handling equipment, long transfer axes, inspection machines and automation frames where a simple supported round rail is preferred to a profile guide. They are especially useful on long spans that would make an unsupported shaft too flexible.
The support rail improves bending stiffness but introduces mounting alignment requirements. The base must be straight enough that bolting the rail down does not force the shaft into a curve.
Selection Guide
Choose the shaft diameter from load and deflection requirements, then select SBR or TBR according to the rail architecture and available carriage size. Compare standard and long blocks if the carriage carries a significant moment.
Specify rail length, end conditions and mounting surface together with the bearing block. If two parallel rails are used, the machine structure must provide a repeatable reference so they do not fight each other.
Installation & Maintenance
Install the rail on a clean, straight datum. Align parallel rails before fully tightening the carriage blocks. After assembly, the carriage should move through the complete travel without a periodic tight spot.
Clean exposed shafts and check the support-to-base fasteners. Dirt accumulation near the open bearing slot can be drawn into the ball path during operation.
