Stainless steel gearboxes are widely used in industrial transmission fields due to their high strength and corrosion resistance. However, in actual use, stainless steel gearboxes may still malfunction due to improper design, installation, lubrication or maintenance....

OSG / OSGB / SGR / SGB Profile Linear Guide Systems
OSG/OSGB and SGR/SGB are profile-style linear guide systems with matched rails and carriages. The outline notes lightweight, corrosion-resistant profiles, OSG sizes 20–50 and multiple SGR load classes.
MOQ flexible. Minimum order value USD 1,500; mixed orders and trial quantities welcome.
OSG and SGR systems are chosen when the machine needs a rail-and-carriage package rather than a bare round-shaft bushing. The rail profile carries the running surfaces and mounting features, while the OSGB or SGB carriage provides the moving interface for the machine plate.
The outline describes the rail structure as lightweight and corrosion resistant. OSG is documented in the 20–50 size family; SGR includes 15N, 15, 20N, 20, 25 and 35 designations. Unlike a simple bushing table, selection also uses moment capacities such as Mxo, Myo and Mzo.
Key Features
Technical Specifications
| Rail Family | Matching Block | Documented Sizes | Key Geometry | Load Data | Typical Use |
|---|---|---|---|---|---|
| OSG | OSGB | 20–50 | H, W, W1, H2, dp, P and rail weight | Basic dynamic safety/load and moment data | Modular automation axes |
| SGR | SGB | 15N, 15, 20N, 20, 25, 35 | Profile and carriage dimensions | Load plus Mxo/Myo/Mzo moments | Compact profile guide systems |
Catalogue note: Profile-guide selection must include carriage moment demand, not only vertical load. Use the exact rail/block table for dimensions and moment ratings.
Typical Applications
These systems fit automated production lines, modular motion stages, tooling fixtures and equipment where a lower-profile rail package is preferred to supported round shafts. The matched carriage also gives a defined mounting platform for the moving structure.
Because the rail itself becomes part of the accuracy chain, base straightness and screw sequence have a strong effect on running quality. The profile should not be pulled into an uneven machine frame during installation.
Selection Guide
Determine the rail size from load, carriage moment and available envelope. If the moving plate has a large overhang, check Mxo, Myo and Mzo rather than relying on the vertical load rating alone. Confirm carriage length and bolt pattern before freezing the plate design.
For an existing axis, identify both rail and block. Mixing a rail from one family with a carriage from another is not a supported substitution even if the nominal size number looks similar.
Installation & Maintenance
Mount the rail to a straight datum and use a controlled tightening sequence. Parallel rails should be aligned from a master reference rather than tightened independently.
Keep running surfaces clean and inspect carriage preload or play if motion quality changes. Contamination and base distortion can create symptoms that resemble bearing wear.
