Harvester Hydraulic Gear Pumps
Clockwise dual-displacement gear pumps for combine harvester hydraulic circuits — header lift, steering, and reel drive. Two shaft-tooth variants for OEM fitment matching.
Application
Hydraulic duty on the combine harvester
A hydraulic gear pump on a combine harvester must keep pace with changing engine speed and variable actuator demand across the header, reel, steering and unloading circuits. Pressure rating, shaft drive, rotation and installed envelope all matter; a matching nominal flow figure alone is not enough.
CW drive
Both models are clockwise rotation. Confirm the rotation convention on the existing installation before ordering a replacement.
Dual displacement
The 16/10 ml/rev figures indicate a two-section gear pump arrangement. Confirm which circuit each section serves before substituting.
Field conditions
Harvest dust, temperature swings and variable engine load affect long-term hydraulic reliability. Oil cleanliness and correct filtration are critical.
Product Range
Available models & specifications
Two models cover the harvester hydraulic duty at 16/10 ml/rev and 20 MPa. They differ in tooth count on the drive shaft — verify the drive interface before selecting a replacement.
| Model | Displacement | Max pressure | Speed range | Rotation |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| YH4.60.37a (11T) | 16/10 ml/rev | 20 MPa | — 3 000 rpm | ↻ CW |
| YH4.60.37 (16T) | 16/10 ml/rev | 20 MPa | 900 – 3 000 rpm | ↻ CW |

Pump appearance & shaft detail
Both models share the same 16/10 ml/rev dual-section body. The 11T and 16T designation refers to the spline tooth count on the input shaft — confirm the match against the harvester PTO or drive coupling.
Selection Guide
Matching the harvester drive interface
YH4.60.37a (11T) and YH4.60.37 (16T) share identical hydraulic ratings — 16/10 ml/rev and 20 MPa — but differ in tooth count, coupling engagement and the documented speed reference. Match the actual drive end before selecting either model.
YH4.60.37a — 11 Tooth
- 11-tooth spline input shaft
- Displacement: 16/10 ml/rev (dual)
- Max pressure: 20 MPa
- Speed reference: 3 000 rpm (max)
- Clockwise rotation viewed from shaft
YH4.60.37 — 16 Tooth
- 16-tooth spline input shaft
- Displacement: 16/10 ml/rev (dual)
- Max pressure: 20 MPa
- Speed range: 900 – 3 000 rpm
- Clockwise rotation viewed from shaft
A dual-section gear pump contains two gear sets in one body, each with its own inlet and outlet. The 16 ml/rev section typically serves the high-flow circuit (header lift, header drive) and the 10 ml/rev section serves the lower-flow circuit (steering, reel, brakes). Both sections share the same drive shaft and rotate together.
OEM Matching
What to send for an accurate match
To confirm fitment and issue a quotation, provide the following information. A correct part number alone is a starting point — a shaft-end photograph removes ambiguity about spline count and flange pattern.
Original reference
The part number from the harvester nameplate, service manual, or OEM parts catalogue.
Drive-end photo
A photograph showing the shaft, spline or key detail, and flange — confirms 11T vs 16T and mounting face.
Port layout
Inlet and outlet positions, thread standard (BSP / NPT / SAE) and sizes for both pump sections.
Duty parameters
System relief pressure, required flow at working speed, and continuous operating temperature range.
Quantity
Number of units — sample, initial order, or regular call-off quantity — for accurate lead-time and pricing.
FAQ
Frequently asked questions
What is the difference between YH4.60.37a (11T) and YH4.60.37 (16T)?
Both have 16/10 ml/rev and 20 MPa. They differ in input shaft spline tooth count: 11 teeth on the "a" variant, 16 teeth on the standard variant. The 16T reference also documents a wider speed range (900–3 000 rpm vs. 3 000 rpm max). Always compare the drive interface tooth count, coupling and flange before substitution.
Which rotation direction is specified?
Clockwise for both models, viewed from the input shaft end. Confirm the viewing convention and the driven shaft arrangement on the machine before assembly — reversing a gear pump's rotation starves the inlet and destroys the pump rapidly.
Can I use this pump on a particular combine harvester model?
Fitment must be verified from the machine model, original pump reference, shaft/tooth count, flange pattern and port positions. A general application label (combine harvester) is not a fitment approval. Provide the original OEM part number and a drive-end photograph for a confirmed match.
What does 16/10 ml/rev dual displacement mean in practice?
The pump body contains two gear sets. The first section displaces 16 ml per shaft revolution; the second displaces 10 ml. Both turn at the same shaft speed. The high-volume section typically feeds the header lift or main circuit; the low-volume section typically feeds steering or reel drive. Confirm which section feeds which circuit before replacing individual hydraulic lines.
Can I request a different shaft interface or port configuration?
Submit a detailed drawing or dimensional measurements together with your order quantity so the available manufacturing configuration can be evaluated. Custom-interface pumps are subject to minimum order quantity and extended lead time.
Ordering
Samples, minimum order & delivery
Minimum order quantity (MOQ) is assessed by pump type, specification and total order value. Where production conditions allow, orders of 1–2 units can be quoted, though unit price will be higher than for a batch.
Samples & small lots
New customers may request 1–5 samples when suitable. Availability and sample pricing are confirmed per model.
Mixed-model orders
Different hydraulic pump models may be combined; the target combined order value is approximately USD 1 500.
Production schedule
Standard parts: 10–25 working days. Customised: 20–45 days. Project equipment: 45–120 days.
Trade terms: EXW, FOB, CIF and DAP are normally available. FCA, CFR, CPT, CIP and DDP can be discussed. The agreed lead time and Incoterm are stated in the formal quotation.
