NHS is a compact maintenance-free female-thread rod end. Instead of a serviceable bronze liner, the spherical outer race uses a PTFE composite sliding layer and the rod body is pressed around the inner ring. Sizes begin at a 3 mm bore and continue through 25 mm, which makes this family particularly useful in smaller linkages.

Typical Applications
Selection Guide
Use the dimensional drawing to check wrench flats, center height and the surrounding fork before deciding that two same-bore rod ends are interchangeable. Then review dynamic and static ratings together with the real duty cycle.
Installation & Maintenance
No routine grease point is required on the NHS design.
Related Bearings
NOS provides the male-thread version; SI T/K is another maintenance-free female-thread family with a steel/PTFE contact system; GE C removes the threaded housing for direct installation in a bearing seat.
