A hydraulic cylinder is a mechanical actuator used to provide unidirectional force through a unidirectional stroke. Hydraulic cylinders are found in almost every sector and so are available in a variety of configurations. The two main types of hydraulic cylinders are Tie-rod and Welded. Each one of these cylinder types can have unique applications due to their styles. Tie-rod cylinders are usually installed in light to moderate duty applications and tend to be designed to end up being repaired or re-loaded if required. Welded cylinders are made for most applications and so are more complex in style but are generally more difficult to repair
